Barn Gypsies Barn Sale and Outdoor Show

Barn Gypsies Barn Sale and Outdoor Show is a monthly event held April - October
on the last weekend of the month in Hamilton, MO.

Julie and I enjoyed our drive to Hamilton.  Barn Gypsies is a country setting with friendly owners & vendors, offering great items at very reasonable prices!

The barn is brimfull of nicely displayed items while the outside grounds offer a variety of vendors including sandwiches and homemade pies!

We went the Friday of Memorial Day weekend which should have been a packed vendor weekend; however, threats of rain kept some vendors away until Saturday.  While we did not have an abundance of vendors to shop, we did enjoy ourselves and brought home some nice treasures.

We hope to visit again in June and anticipate more vendors and homemade pie!

As usual, I totally forgot to snap photos of my treasures before I tucked them away.  I brought home a handful of vintage jewelry pieces, vintage trims, six vintage buckles, vintage empherma and a couple of vintage bottles.

Our day in photos...

If you are near Kansas City, consider taking a day trip to Barn Gypsies - located on the Ford Farm, one mile east of Hamilton, MO, 6896 NE Spring Hill Rd. - Open 9-4 Friday-Saturday-Sunday.  Hopefully the weather will be nice and you'll come home with treasures like we did!

West Bottoms Shopping Treasures

Here are my beauties that I found on Friday while shopping at the
Kansas City West Bottoms First Weekend sales

This wonderful chippy white wicker tray w/handle was purchased at sweet Sarah's booth My So Called Junky Life, now located inside Restoration Emporium.
The creamy doilies I also purchased from her.

The pink crocheted trim, earrings and pins were purchased at
vendors inside Nook and Cranny.

The adorable stack of vintage Walt Disney playing cards and those AMAZING bobbin-lace (I think) squares in their original packaging were purchased at Urban Mining.  UM is not in the West Bottoms district, but is also a First Weekend store.

Another package of AMAZING trim from Urban Mining.

My favorite find of all is this framed print of Pharaoh's Horses!
I passed up a larger version of this about eight years ago and have been sorry every since.  I found this beauty at Hickory Dickory.

I plan to repaint the wooden frame a creamy color.  It will go better with my style and enhance the trim of the frame.

Enjoy today, Tami

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Part 2

I only have a PC, no laptop, notebook, smart phone or whatever, so I need to be home and at my PC to share any new post with you.  When it comes to tech stuff, I keep it simple...
hence my delay in recent postings.

I've been away on a wonderful Girls Rule trip.
I will be sharing about it once I get caught up on some other posts.

I had planned on catching up with posting early this weekend; however our eldest son was involved in a major car accident.  Thank our good Lord, he was not severely injured!
His car was totaled.

On with Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Part 2...

My last post left Laurie, Suzanne & me getting ready to experience shopping at the
Kansas City West Bottoms Vintage Stores.

Sarah is such a sweetie!  I ADORE her blog, her Bottoms Up booth

More of West Bottoms shopping...

I love this sofa!  It was only $115!
I absolutely have no where to put it or it would have come home with me!

 Wow! bright lemony yellow

Amazing old buildings!

We ran into fellow Bird Song friends Marj & Gail!

Suzanne & Laurie - we had an amazing day!
Be sure and visit Laurie's post, she has lots of great photos.

The last event of their visit was Karla's Romantic Gothic Ghost.  I'll be sharing more about that soon.
