Christmas 2014 Matchbox Swap

Lynne Legge and I did a one-on-one Christmas 2014
altered matchbox swap.
Please enjoy the beautiful box Lynne created for me

Double drawers - one filled with goodies and the other a darling handmade clay snowman diorama
Adorable!

Here is my matchbox to Lynn

The box was a little tricky to open as you did not want to smash the trees while holding it.  The inside box slid out smoothly on its base and was filled with Christmassy treasures.

Easter Altered Matchbox Swap with Lynn - Part 2

Welcome back, thank you for stopping back by to see Lynn's Easter altered matchbox,
I know you will love it...

See how she attached the easel greeting card front

I did not tuck-in the easel card as I wanted you to see how it all fits.  This photo shows the sweet easel tab where you tuck-in the easel card to make it stand

Lynn also gifted me with her altered S&P shaker girl...so sweet!

Lynn knows how to spoil me...look at all the amazing goodies she enclosed in my matchbox drawer plus she also sent an extra envelope full of empherma pieces

Lynn created this thoughtful charm.  It now hangs at my desk where I see it every time I work on my computer...top charm reads Made With Love...indeed her whole matchbox and each enclosed goodie was from love...Thank you Lynn!

Valentine's Day Altered Matchbox Swap - Part 2

Belle always enjoying barking at our mail carrier.  This morning I heard her low growl explode into her deep bark and I knew it must be our mail carrier - it was.
What an awful day for our mail carriers as it is negative degrees without wind chills.  I know it is their job to deliver the mail, but I would not do it on a day like today,
so a big THANK YOU to all our mail carriers!

Our recent weather has delayed the arrival of a much anticipated package...
my Valentine's Day Matchbox Swap from Lynn L.

Upon opening our mail box I found one item, a box just the perfect size for a matchbox swap.
I pulled out the box, turned it over and YES, it had Lynn's return address on it!

Wow, Wow, Wow!
Not only was there Lynn's matchbox, but two packets.

This packet enclosed a vintage button card - do you remember buttons 10¢?

And this packet held

a sweet Valentine ornament she made

 I immediately fell-in-LOVE with Lynn's altered matchbox

the front,

the roof, the sides

and the back are full of the sweetest details!

The trinkets inside were perfectly me

Lynn, Thank you for your matchbox swap to me - it is amazing and I LOVE it!

Thank you again JoAnne from Vintage Dragonfly for hosting this swap!

The perks of swapping are sharing creative art, trinkets and the best perk, making friends.

Hugs ~ Tami

The Bird Song Swaps - Matchboxes

Another fun swap at Bird Song 2013 were our matchboxes, hosted by Gail & Marj Sell.  Participants were matched with a partner.  Partners were encouraged to learn one another's interest and then create a work of art using an empty large kitchen matchbox, include a bird somewhere on it, after all this is Bird Song, and then fill it with goodies.

Here are our participants receiving their matchbox swap

Group matchbox photos - incredible talent here!

My adorable matchbox was from Hope
and it was filled to the brim with wonderful goodies!
Thank you Hope!

This is the matchbox I created for my swap partner Suzanne

Two more swaps to go...
