Girlfriends Gathering Christmas 2018

Welcome to our Girlfriends Gathering Christmas 2018

(L-R/F-B: Marj, Karla, Beth, Tami (me), Nora, Kim, Lee & Gail - Lindy & Corrine not shown)

Thank goodness for Marj's height and long arms
as she was able to grab a group selfie of us.

This wonderful group of women have become friends through
the connection of Karla's Cottage 2011 Bird Song

These kindred friendships have been life-changing to us!
So often our lives can be swallowed up in Life itself.
As friends it is important to connect and
nurture one another in time well spent -
to create and inspire one another -
to lift up one another -
and to share good food!

So, in 2013 Girlfriends Gathering began.

I try about every 3-4 month to host at my home our gathering.
Everyone brings food/drinks for our potluck meal.
We share from early morning to late night.
We'll create beauty in artsy projects.
And...we nurture our cherished friendships!

Here's a peek at our recent 2018 Christmas Girlfriends Gathering

The blurry flash of red hair is Corrine joining our group selfie.
Corrine was only 5 years old when Girlfriends Gathering
began.  She sure is growing up!

Many of us had hopeful intentions on participating in our
Christmas Diorama Swap, but only Gail and Lee found time to complete theirs.
Naturally they won one another's dioramas...

Lee created this adorable handmade paper house tealight diorama!

Gail created this darling Winter Animals diorama with fairy lights!

What is a Button Club?

We are a club that meets monthly in the Kansas City Metro with the purpose
to study and preserve antique/vintage and studio clothing buttons.

Like so many collectibles, clothing buttons tell a timeline of...
History, Art, Theater, Wars, Politics, Manufacturing, Science and MORE.

Button Collecting is world-wide!

If you are interested in button collecting and
want to visit a button club in your area, please email me privately.
Or visit the National Button Society to find a club near you.
