May Gardens

For flowers that bloom about our feet;
For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee!
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Isn't May supposed to be Springtime?
Our Spring lasted a couple of weeks before it was consumed
with the intolerance of Summer heat...and it was only May!

Today, June 2nd is a cooler day following
overnight thunderstorms.

Sipping my coffee this morning while enjoying the cool rainy air
on our sun porch, I see last night's thunderstorm downed two large branches
in our backyard and left my flowers drenched and bent over.

Most, if not all the flowers should bounce back.
I hope they do as they
have been beautiful this year...

The earth laughs in flowers
