birthday celebrations!

Since everyone has a birthday sometime this year, 

I had a bouquet of Birthday flowers waiting for everyone to take home

 

 

Some of us are celebrating milestone birthdays this year -

Remembering Birthdays After Your Parents Are Gone

Today would have been my Dad's 86th birthday.  

He passed away March 7, 2011. 

It was in my late teens when I began calling my dad, Papa - don't recall why it just fit between us.

My Papa's birthday was June 10th and mine June 11th - we shared many wonderful family birthdays over the years.   

This photo was the last birthday I saw my Papa.

My Mom passed away in 2006.
I greet their birthdays now with fond memories,
heartfelt love and tears as I miss them dearly.

Papa & Me... a change of birthdays

For 52 years my Papa (dad) and I shared our birthdays.  His June 10th and mine June 11th.  We were not always together on our birthdays especially in recent years, but we always shared a birthday hug even if it was through the phone.  My dearest Papa passed away on March 7, 2011, so there were no birthday hugs this year.  I miss you Papa, Happy Birthday - Love always, your Baby Girl.
