Christmas Gathering with the Girls

I do enjoy Christmastime!
The magic of holiday lights & decoration that warm our homes.
Christmas movies!  Christmas music!
Holiday shopping!
The smell of lovingly prepared foods and desserts!
The gathering of family & friends!
The special reminder that Jesus was born to save us!

Last Saturday a group of girlfriends gathered at my home...
Our day began with coffee, hot chocolate, my  lavender lemon blueberry and cranberry orange walnut breads...that was until Miss Belle decided she wanted the
cranberry orange walnut bread for herself.

This is Miss Belle...she's a sweetheart, but she can be handful

This tree sits at the end of my studio and features handmade swap Christmas tags and two photos - one of me with my three sisters Christmas 1959 and a photo of our
two sons when they were little guys.

We settled into the studio
and
filled our day with good food and hours of creating arts & crafts,
laughter and friendship!

Everyone brought their own project to work during the day, and I offered easy, peasy art projects on the side.

Here are some images of various Christmassy supplies...wonder what everyone will create?

Beautiful friends...amazing women!
Marj & Corrine were sitting in the front two left chairs,
but they had to leave early before this photo.

 Some of our creations
 Beth

 Gail

 Lindy

 Nora
(Nora, is holding her Christmas altered paper bag swap book...our swap books are AMAZING...I will blog about them soon.)
Nora and Lindy wearing angle wings...well that's what Nora created them as, but they are cute as Santa's mustache too!
 Lee
Karla H.
Sorry,  but some of my photos are not good and too blurry to share...like Lee's darling vintage Christmas diorama and vintage Christmas photo frame.

A day of joy and friendship!

  3. I so wish I lived in your neck of the woods so I could craft with you and Beth and Karla! Your studio is beautiful and I love the projects. What a great idea! I'm running to stay in place this year (flu and a trip right after wiped me out) but I'm itching for a bit of craftiness and would drop baking and decorating if I could find some pals to do it with!
