Something Special's Vintage Spring Petite Jar Swap

Thank you Michele from Something Special
for all the goodies sent in your Vintage Spring Petite Jar Swap!

Wow, it is amazing how many goodies can squeeze into an 8 oz. canning jar...

So many treasures... I love the crowns, vintage trims, vintage velvet leaves, vintage C.D. ribbon, all of it, but the foiled Bunny sticker is my favorite... He's so cute!

Great swap Michele - Thanks for hosting it!

I'm still finishing my swap to Michele.  I'll post it after I get it mailed to her.

Head on over to Michele's Something Special blog - You'll enjoy it!

Entryway Changes

Until just a couple of weeks ago our entryway was painted
'Ruby Lips'

What a difference soft neutral paint can do to the same area...

Slowly, wall by wall, ceiling by ceiling, room by room, we are making home repairs and with simple cost effective changes such as neutral paints, repurposing old items and rearranging furniture we are creating a fresh new style for our home.

I hope you will stop by again and follow us as we continue our home repairs.

I'm linking this post to Kathleen at Faded Charm for White Wednesdays... click & hop on over to see all the other incredible White Wednesday images.

In My Room

For years I loved my 'Ruby Lips' entryway color and my upstairs yellow hallway.  When the repair of our basement foundation lead us to repair and paint ten rooms, we chose softer shades of whites and sweet cream... these softer shades seem to fit better with our
mellowed age.

Here's a nook I have been working on - it isn't quite what I want, but it is a beginning

What do you think so far - do you like it?

I always enjoy Kathleen's White Wednesday linky party on her blog Faded Charm - take a peek by clicking on her link!

Found Treasures

For our region it has a been an mild and warm winter.  There have been a lot of estate sales & auctions, but my busy schedule has not offered much time for treasure hunting.

Here are the few treasures I did find...

Vintage miniature flocked birds & mushroom birds

Sweet handmade vintage Easter eggs from vintage velvet flowers

Vintage handmade ornaments

Two vintage metal serving trays - (I am already using the one not shown)

And now my special thrift store finds!!!
the Pièce de résistance

(needs two paste replaced)

Eisenberg Originals dress clips for $1.99 each - I was dancing a happy dance!!

These photos do not show justice on these treasures especially the dress clips - they are brilliant and GORGEOUS...I need to work on my photography skills.

I am ready to enjoy the beauty of Spring and for treasure hunting those Spring house-cleaning sales... how about you?
